APR Accreditation
Are you a PR or communications professional in southwestern Wisconsin? Are you interested in a high-quality, low-cost professional development program? Consider pursuing Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) through membership in PRSA!
Accreditation is a voluntary certification program for communications and PR professionals. A valued distinction, earning the APR can lead to the next level of your career. APR certification signifies a mastery of modern strategic communications and commitment to top-tier practices and ethics. The APR study process is a chance to heighten your knowledge, skills and abilities, and denotes a high level of professional competence.
Interested in learning more? Take these next steps.
1. Determine your eligibility. At least five years’ experience in professional communications or PR is recommended.
2. Look into the APR certification. Overview information on the APR is found on PRSA’s APR webpage.
3. Reach out to PRSA Madison. The chapter’s APR Chair will discuss next steps, connect you with local resources for APR candidates and answer any questions. The APR Chair will also share guidance on when to submit your APR application and provide other support.
4. Begin Studying. Check out the resources on PRSA’s APR webpage, download the APR Study Guide and begin studying!
